December 25 may be over, but the spirit of Christmas still definitely lingers on. After all, we’re known here to celebrate the longest Christmas season in the world! If you are looking for some place to go in this extended New Year weekend, perhaps, you’d want to visit Pueblo de Panay’s Christmas Village at Punta Dulog. Yes, there’s no snow, but experience the magic of a truly white, magical and inspiring holiday here.
Two years ago, Pueblo de Panay also installed its first ever Christmas village, which was a resounding success among the locals. It was then located at where Robinson’s Place is now sitting.
This year, the Christmas Village was revived as a wonderful treat of Pueblo de Panay to everyone who wants to have an inspiring Christmas, particularly for those who want to see Santa Claus, live, up close and personal!
The village should have been actually opened on December 5, just in time for the festivities of the Sinadya sa Halaran, but because of Typhoon Ruby, Ms. Ma. Lucille Manuel, the village’s designer and decorator, explained that she and her team had to pack everything. You can only imagine!
“When this project was almost done a week ago, we have to pack up everything we can,” she said.
“Try to imagine packing up what you have finished: 38 huge candy canes, 42 pcs, 5 ft high toy soldiers, 6 mannequins, 24 pcs diamond ice drops chandeliers.”
Her team had to eventually put everything back again two days after the typhoon cease…. And so the Christmas Village came to be!
It was officially opened on December 19.
Experience the joy and beauty of Christmas the moment you step in at the Village. A wooden soldier awaits you!
Trains, candy canes, and more Christmas soldiers await you.
Queen Elsa, Princess Anna, and Olaf (in 3D) are awaiting kids and kids and heart who want to get away from stress and, instead, relish the merriment.
The Christmas Village will never be complete without this cool nativity scene. After all, Christ is the reason for the season.
Here's Santa's cottage.
Got any wish? Might as well want to tell Santa about that!
